Well, I made this cake for my husband for Valentine’s Day….it’s a little late…but better late than never! Whenever I finish a cake my husband always makes a comment about how he never gets to cut into and eat the “cool” cakes. So I told him I would make him one for Valentine’s Day to make him feel better and show him how much I love him! It also gave me a chance to try out some modeling chocolate roses which I’ve been wanting to try for a while now.
Even though it is super girly…can you make a valentine’s cake that isn’t girly? I put the blue bow on there to add a little boy color in there. Hope he likes it!

Firefighter Helicopter Pilot Birthday Cake
Another fun cake order for this weekend! I love how this turned out! The helicopter is made out of Rice Krispie Treats and modeling chocolate. It was raining and humid outside when I was making it and so everything was having a hard time holding it shape, but I think we made it work. My husband helped me out a TON with the helicopter. Thank you so much husband!! He has more experience with the shape of helicopters since he was in the Army so I had him do a lot of the shaping and molding and he did a fantastic job! I love how the flames look against the black background too. ![]()

Golf ball Anniversary Cake
My friend ordered this cake from me for her and her husband’s anniversary and apparently her husband is an avid golfer! I hope he approved of my golf ball cake and modeling chocolate tee. Happy anniversary you two!

Vegas/Poker Cake
This cake was a lot of fun! All the decorations are made out of modeling chocolate and taste good so you can pick up a poker chip or a playing card, take a bite out of it and actually enjoy it! I also was able to experiment with my new cricut machine and found out that it actually works really well with Wilton’s new sugar sheets, which is pretty awesome. The letters, numbers and heart shapes on the cards were cut using the Cricut. On the Vegas sign I made a stencil for the letters and used food coloring to paint them on. Viva Las Vegas! Thanks for looking!
